Dear family,
Sharing the gospel is a great privilege.
We are grateful that we have an open door to share the Gospel at the Old People’s Home, Fairleads Home, and Ryn Park Retirement Estate. I think of Jenny. She serves alongside her husband at the Old People’s home, and I remember Aquila and Priscilla mentioned in the book of Acts. I also think of Pamela and Priscilla. They serve at Ryn Park, and they remind us of commendable women like Phoebe in the Bible. Malcom Wade serves at Fairleads. They need our encouragement and support in advancing the Gospel.
There are two meaningful ways in which you can take part in this mission:
1.) By prayer
You may be able to lift the residents and their staff in prayer. They need comfort. They need encouragement. They need Jesus. Pray for those who minister among them. Pray that the Lord may strengthen and guide them to minister well according to their needs. Some need the gospel. Some need Christian comfort and assurance.
2.) By presence
Being in their fellowships in person would offer a greater Gospel witness. This will provide a better opportunity for them to know they aren’t in solitude but are cared for by a loving church community. This is an open door for the gospel to advance in Benoni.
The service schedules are as follows:
- Old People’s Home: First Sunday of every month at 3:00 PM, continuing on 1st Feb 2026.
- Fairleads: Second Monday of every Month at 9:30 AM, beginning on the 12th Jan 2026.
- Ryn Park Retirement Home: Every Tuesday following the second Sunday of the month at 10:00 AM, at Ryn Park 1, commencing on the 13th Jan 2026.
May Jesus be glorified. May His compassionate heart be felt as you think of the men and women living in these three homes. May His glorious Gospel advance.
