The Springboks take on the Barbarians at 3:00pm, and we’re turning the afternoon into something more than just a game on a screen. Come from 2:00pm, settle in, and enjoy the build-up with friends, neighbours and families from across Farrarmere and the greater Benoni area. Whether you’re a die-hard rugby fan or just looking for a relaxed place to watch rugby where the whole family feels at home, this is the event for you.
What to Expect
We’re not a pub, restaurant or crowded sports bar. We’re part of Farrarmere community, gathered on the church grounds, designed with every age in mind.
- Braai stands fired up for the dads – Bring your own meat and enjoy a South African braai while the rugby plays on the big screen. We’ll have the grids hot and the atmosphere even hotter.
- Jumping castle for the kids – While you focus on the scrums and tries, the little ones can bounce, play and burn off energy in a safe space.
- Tea garden – Grab a cuppa and some delicious home-baked treats from our tea garden. It’s the perfect spot to catch up with friends during halftime.
- Father’s Day crafts on sale – With Father’s Day falling the very next day, we’ll have a selection of handmade crafts and gifts available for Dad. No last-minute panic – just a thoughtful, personal touch.
Everything happens in a relaxed, alcohol-free environment where you can invite your family, neighbours, old school friends – anyone who’s ever asked, “Where can I watch rugby in Benoni?”
