You’ve been coming to Benoni Baptist Church for some time. You’ve listened. You’ve learned. You’ve lingered long enough to know this church might be your church. If that’s true, then it’s time to take your next step. We want you to know about our membership process. What it means. What it requires. What it involves.
Here’s the roadmap.
- Week 1: What is the gospel? We explain the gospel. We examine Paul’s testimony. We apply the message to our own story. You can’t belong to a gospel church unless you believe the gospel.
- Week 2: Who are we? We introduce our mission, vision, and values. We explain our leadership, our ministries, our missionaries. We want you to know us before you join us.
- Week 3: What do we believe? We work through our statement of faith. Line by line. Truth by truth. So you know what we teach and why we teach it.
- Week 4: What do we do? We present our membership covenant. We explain what members commit to do. What they commit to be. What they commit to pursue.
- Week 5: What is baptism? We open our Bibles and walk through what baptism is, who it’s for, and why it matters. Because we believe baptism always comes before membership.
- After that, you can fill out an application form. Then we set up a conversation. We’ll listen to your salvation testimony. Ask how you’re growing. And think together about how you can keep going.
- If approved, and if needed, we baptise you. Then we welcome you into membership during a Sunday service as you sign the covenant and take your place in the family.
That’s the road. That’s the route. That’s the rhythm.
