As we come to the end of 2024, there are a few details regarding Christmas and the New Year I want to make you aware of.
Christmas cheer
Around this time of year we share a little cheer.
This past week I accompanied Anne to The Salvation Army Benoni Goodwill Centre. We handed packs of toiletries to the residents and staff, and presents to the children.
Yesterday I drove around Brakpan and Benoni, dropping off gift parcels to a number of our shut in members. Colleen has also distributed a number of gift parcels and cards to folk that need a little cheer this time of year.
Don’t forget our Christmas morning service on Wednesday, 25 December, at 8:30am. We will take up an offering during the service, with all proceeds going to retired ministers within our congregation, as a way of honoring their faithful service.
With your support we’ve been able to bring joy to many lives this festive season.
End of year festivities
On Tuesday, 31 December, from 8:00pm until 12:00 you’re invited to our end of year bring and braai. You’re welcome to invite family and friends too. There will be some time for testimonies, some time for worship, and a very short devotion. The fires will be on all throughout, so you can bring your meat, and whatever else you’d like to eat. In the fellowship hall we’ll have The Royal Variety Concert playing. I look forward to seeing you.
