The scrutineers at our quarterly general meeting (Rob Semple and Sharon Morison), have delivered their report. And our church secretary (Robert Burge) has confirmed it. The proposal to amend the section of our constitution concerning deacons has passed. It received the required 75% majority vote of those present.
I want to commend the spirit in which you debated this matter. On the main motion. And on the motion to postpone. The vote is now concluded. The matter is now settled. We are not a people divided by a count. We are a body united under Christ.
