Holiday Bible Club wrap-up

Holiday Bible Club 2026 is over. Three days of intense sowing. And a joyful celebration during our Sunday service. We are deeply grateful to our church family. You supported the work financially. You held us up in prayer. Because of your faithfulness, 25+ kids spent their week exposed to the weight and beauty of God’s Word.

Our final day included registration, and aftercare duties. Morning devotions anchoring our 15 leaders for the final push. Mark delivered the final Bible lesson. Completing a week of clear, uncompromised exposition, aimed at little hearts. We did not dilute the gospel. We pressed the text directly into the young consciences in front of us. Crafts kept hands busy with purposeful activities. There were games on the field. And the group leaders facilitated crucial gospel discussions during the rotations. Our kitchen team sustained us to the very end with faithful service. Pizza! and oranges and chips.

On Sunday, the energy of the children entered our morning worship. Kaitlyn, who’s organised the event, led our prize giving. We recognised the specific ways God worked in these children. Some kids were awarded for their dedication to hiding God’s Word in their hearts. Others for running the race swiftly, and one for effort. Oh, and there was a joyful worship recognition, for dancing and praising with their whole hearts. Our leaders were also recognized for their tireless labor. And after a week of intense competition and camaraderie between the Blue, Green, and Red teams, the final drumroll was answered. Green team took the prize!

The week ended with the children standing before the congregation, singing their hearts out. To God be the Glory! We had so many first time visitors on Sunday. At least three of the families came with kids that attended Holiday Bible Club.

We do not look back on this week as mere entertainment. We look back with natural urgency. Seed was sown in the hearts of many children. That means seed was also brought home to many households. To moms and dads who are navigating a heavy, drifting world.

Is God’s Word enough? We believe it is. The club is over, but the work of the Word continues. Pray that the truths heard this week take deep, permanent root. Not effort. Not performance. Grace alone.

To God be the glory!

  1. Thanks to all for the hard work on behalf of a special group….our children. I will continue to pray for the seed that was planted to grow in their hearts.
