Zelda's testimony

Zelda is 90. But she’s so on fire for the Lord. I recently heard her testify to a gospel opportunity she had. And I commend her short story to you, for your encouragement, and to stoke the fire of your own heart.

Saturday I was out to breakfast with my daughter and her husband. They noticed a couple of people they knew. When breakfast finished they went to greet them. I sat down and waited.

Sitting at the next table was a man reading a large book. The Holy Spirit laid on my heart to say to him, “That’s a big book you’re reading, have you read the Bible?” He looked at me said, “My late mother always said, when you’re finished your book read the Bible.” He said, “Now I’m going to read it.”

I had one tract left in my handbag, the Gospel in French. And he was a French speaker. He read it out loud in French. Our God knew he was from Senegal. God is so amazing. The man’s name is Yves. I believe God heard his late mother’s prayers for her son. What a faithful God we serve.

Do you have a testimony you’d like to share with others? Maybe it’s an encouragement? Maybe it’s of God being near to you through a difficult time? Go to the Next Steps page on our website and find the link to submit a testimony at the bottom of the page.
