What’s the point of all this growth?

Seating

Let me begin by saying thank you. This past Sunday was packed. We had 107 vehicles parked on our property and 12 outside. Thank you to those who parked on Linda Street. It made a real difference. Our CMS guard, Cyril, is on site from 8:00am, and we are grateful for his presence. May I again ask that as many able-bodied members as possible park on Linda Street? This helps create space on our property for visitors. And the frail who need closer access. It is another simple way you can help us fulfil our mission. To reach Benoni with the gospel. And to equip all for life.

All those cars meant a lot of people. We were like sardines in a can. We had 250 people in the worship service. With seating for 284 in the main hall. We brought in extra chairs to accommodate latecomers. And today, 50 additional chairs were delivered. That brings our total seating capacity to 334. Together with the parking solution, we now have more room to grow. Which means, you can keep inviting family and friends to worship the Lord.

A few people have asked, where to from here? What is the plan for the future? I will be meeting with the elders tomorrow to discuss vision. Then, with our ministry leaders on Saturday. And on Sunday evening, I will preach on the topic, What Is My Vision for Our Church? I suspect the answer may surprise you. Our evening service is at 6:00pm, in the fellowship hall. I would love to see you there as we look ahead together, under the Word of God.
