Benoni Baptist Church has been steadily growing over the past year. It’s exciting to see how God is working among us! While we still have room in our main hall to welcome visitors who want to hear the gospel message, parking has become a ceiling to growth. Resolving this challenge is critical to our mission to “Reach Benoni with the Gospel, and equip all for life”—a mission that flows directly from the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-20.
Here’s how we’re addressing the parking situation this Sunday:
1. Car Park Team
We’re creating teams of four men to guide parking on Sunday mornings to ensure we use the space we have as effectively as possible. Be sure to smile and wave as they assist you this Sunday! You’ll be able to identify them by the reflective jackets they’ll be wearing. If you’d like to join this team, please sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/3745ypcs and select “Parking” in the Fellowship section.
2. Parking on Wordsworth Road
We encourage those who are able, to park across the road. Personally, I’ve been parking there for months without incident. However, we kindly ask older members and families with young children to park inside the premises to avoid crossing the road. We wish to prioritise the safety of vulnerable individuals even as we aim for enough space for everyone.
As we tackle this practical challenge, let’s be reminded that our motivation isn’t merely logistics—it’s the Gospel. Every parking spot we free up, every visitor we welcome, and every adjustment we make contributes to the larger mission of sharing Christ’s love with Benoni. This is an ever-member mission at Benoni Baptist Church, and I’m grateful for the role you play in it.
Thank you for your understanding, support, and willingness to serve. If you have any questions or ideas, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Good on you Mark!
We will put our disabled sign on our car.
