“For the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on him will not be put to shame, since there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, because the same Lord of all richly blesses all who call on him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Mark emphasised Paul’s certainty: “Everyone who believes on Him will not be put to shame. That is a promise. Faith in Christ never ends in disgrace. It always ends in salvation.” Shame falls away because Christ bore it on the cross. Those who believe stand secure.
The next truth is breathtaking. Paul says there is no distinction. Mark explained, “The same Lord is Lord of all. He is not divided by race, language, or culture. He richly blesses all who call on Him.” The gospel is not limited to one people group. It is for Jew and Gentile. It is for all.
Mark pressed this into daily life: “The words everyone and all mean exactly what they say. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. None are beyond His reach. None are too far gone. None are excluded who come by faith.” Grace opens wide the door of salvation.
This matters in the workplace and in the neighbourhood. You will meet people very different from you. Their story may seem far from God. Yet the same Lord offers the same salvation. Do not shrink back. Share freely. The promise is clear. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Show this to your children as well. Teach them that Jesus saves people from every country, language, and background. Open a map and pray for believers in another nation. Remind them that the gospel is not just for us, but for the world.
Question: Who in your life feels “too far” from God—and how might you extend the good news to them?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that there is no distinction in Your gospel. Give me boldness to share Christ with those who feel far from You. Let me rest in the promise that all who call on His name will be saved. Amen.
