We’ve included the guidelines for the member interview for you preparation. We don’t want to catch you by surprise.
Questions related to belief
- State your life circumstances before coming to faith.
- State the circumstances of your salvation.
- State the gospel message you believed.
- State how you’ve grown spiritually since you believed.
Questions related to growth
- What Bible study do you belong to, or intend on joining?
- Is there a person who you are in a discipleship relationship with?
Questions related to service
- How are you spiritually gifted to serve in the context of the local church?
- What ministry team do you belong to, or intend on joining?
Questions related to impediments
- Do you affirm our 2017 statement of belief in all its parts?
- Do you affirm our covenant in all its parts?
- Have you been baptised as a believer by immersion?
- Is there any habitual sin or lifestyle which the elders need to consider before bringing your name to the church for consideration as a member (living with a partner who is not your wife, planning to divorce your spouse, allowing an addiction to reign in your life unchecked).
